Update: the International Planetarium Society has postponed its 2020 conference to a date to be annnounced.
The Giant Screen Cinema Association and IMERSA will each host one-day events in conjunction with the International Planetarium Society’s 2020 conference in Edmonton, AB, Canada, June 21-25. The meeting is being hosted by Telus World of Science Edmonton, which has both a 274-seat flat-screen IMAX theater with a GT laser system and a 75-foot (23-meter) Sky-Skan Definiti fulldome theater.
IMERSA, the association for immersive media, entertainment, research, science, and art, will hold a Mini Summit on Saturday, June 20, featuring two keynote speakers and sessions on shooting live action video for the dome and art on the dome.
The GSCA will host a Big Screen Day on Thursday, June 25, with screenings of eight GS films.
The IMERSA Mini Summit requires a separate registration fee; GSCA’s Big Screen Day is included with admission to IPS 2020.
